Rosewater

After committing an unforgivable act, a faded musician arrives in a small desert town seeking absolution and exile from memories that cling to him like smoke. 

There, he slowly begins to imagine the possibility of a different life and dreams of the old days and the people who were everything to him for a short while. 

Determined to build something from the ruins of himself, he turns to a shady doctor who promises freedom from the past - by removing his memories, in defiance of God and of all that he once believed.

Set in the late 1960s, Rosewater explores the quiet ways people leave themselves behind in the lives of others, and asks what remains of us after the stories we tell ourselves begin to fail.
