Portrait of Christopher Heshan, novelist and screenwriter

About

Christopher Heshan is a novelist and screenwriter whose work explores identity, consciousness, and what it means to be alive. Drawn to intimate, character-driven stories, he writes literary fiction that lingers on questions of memory, faith, and the quiet ways people shape one another's lives.

His debut novel, Rosewater, is currently in development for publication. Set in the late 1960s, the story follows a faded musician who arrives in a small desert town seeking absolution from his past, only to place his faith in a shady doctor who promises peace - by removing his memories.

When he isn't writing, Christopher enjoys literature, cinema, and thoughtful conversations about storytelling. He occasionally shares updates, excerpts, and reflections on the writing process through his newsletter and social media.
